Timber Stand Improvement (TSI) is a forestry management practice which aims to improve the stand quality, vigor and composition of a forested stand of mature and pole sized trees. This practice entails culling invasive, undesirable and suppressed trees to help promote the vigor of the residual stand by limiting the competition of resources.

On a commercial timber harvest, we utilize the tops of the trees for cut and split firewood. We sell quality hardwood and our firewood is hand selected and hand split to ensure top quality and proportion. Whether it's boiler wood or for specialty woodstoves, we are happy to provide quality cut and split firewood.
